Meet Jody

My name is Jody Nigliazzo, and I am the founder of Fit-N-Well. I am also a wife and mother of two great boys, an advocate for health, and a fitness junkie. I became a certified health coach in 2014, after 20 years in the health industry and 10 years on the pharmaceutical side. I grew up trying all the fad diets with my mom and sister. They worked, until we stopped, and gained weight back again. Frustrated, our food and bad habits returned to what we did before. That is because diets are made to work quickly, and do not teach sustainability.

I, just like the majority of women, had body image issues and poor eating habits. After studying sustainable health since leaving home at 17, I can promise that the only way to true health is to ditch the diets. So my approach isn't about weight loss, although you will lose weight. There are no restricted foods or calorie counting, starvation diets. I help clients get back in touch with their bodies, getting to the root of bad habits once and for all. This is not about a number on a scale, this is about health for life.

Primary foods include career, finances, relationships, creativity, social life, spirituality, and exercise. They make up the foundation of our lives. If these things are not in order, life does not feel balanced.

Secondary foods are anything we eat. Food is medicine and can cure us in ways that are amazing. Trying new things and seeing what works for you starts here. When primary and secondary foods are not balanced, life can feel hard and stressful.

Learning how to balance changed my life in such a positive direction. My body is the best it has ever been at 43, I sleep solidly all night, and peace is something I can now quickly reclaim when life throws a punch.

I received my certification in Health Coaching in 2014 from Integrative Nutrition. I teach and enjoy fitness of every kind. My personal favorite is kickboxing, and I have been at it for 20 years. I also love pilates, plyometrics, free weights, cross training, yoga, and stretch and breathing exercises. I teach based on goals and fitness levels from beginner to advanced. I use my infrared sauna, whole body vibration, and red light therapy panel regularly as supplements. They offer relief from injuries, major skin benefits, and easy calorie burn. When I am not working out or flipping houses you will find me in nature hiking with my dog or camping and boating with my family. I paint with acrylics and have had the privilege of painting at Van Gogh's home in Provence, France. I also love a good book, especially on a beach or by a mountain.


Mission Statement

I provide a safe place for my clients to talk about their obstacles in reaching their goals for health and wellness. I will support, educate, and encourage their path, partnering in a way that propels them to a new understanding of health and how to maintain the changes for life.
